💨 Tiny Desk, make way for trains

TINY TRAIN CONCERTS.

Happy day, friends. My promise to you Monday after Monday is not that this is a long email meant for serious reading — we'll save that (mostly) for the zine.

As I've emphasized before, all I want Smokestack to be is an email worth opening and a blog worth catching up on.

Today, I simply want you to enjoy two videos, the first two of Train Songz's Tiny Train Concerts series, because I think they music will improve your day.

TINY TRAIN CONCERTS

Cahaba Roots features Drury Anderson, Luke Black, Teddy Kent, G Rockwell, and Sam Stage, who are all classmates at Berklee College of Music, also known as Harvard For Kids Who Know What A F♯ Half-Diminished Seventh Chord Is

These are "Tiny Train Concerts," which are like NPR's Tiny Desk Concert if the trains were tiny instead.

We filmed these at The Bay State Model Railroad Museum in Roslindale, Massachusetts, with Cahaba Roots and Jay Faires.

Check 'em out on YouTube! Cahaba Roots and Jerry Tone Store! And while you're at it, subscribe to us over at Train Songz. No major plans on YouTube yet, but we have some great zine companion playlists and audio from the Chris Thile & Billy Strings show at Lincoln Center.

Your moment of zen

And folks...if you just can't get enough niche YouTube recs, I leave you with Duane Trucks, Royal Masat, Jarrod Walker, John Mailander, Emil Werstler, and Jake Stargel at Dee's Lounge last night.
