💨 A conduit for the music

Smokestack is the digital extension of the Train Songz zine. We use this blog to sporadically shares with you a piece of Internet Content the zine-team enjoyed. If you'd like to keep up with us outside of the zine and our memes on Instagram, you can join our Instagram chat. As a subscriber, you can also text The Conductor at any point with zine-related questions, comments, and concerns: 405-225-6629. Leave a comment in here if you have any sick vids we should feature in the future.

Yooooooo welcome to another Smokestack!! This week I want to share this Chris Thile interview with Rick Beato. Give it a click. I finally got around to watching this last night, about two weeks after Promontory Paul recommended it. He and I were fortunate enough to catch the Chris Thile, Cory Henry, and Billy Strings show at Lincoln Center, which we taped on an iPhone. (Henry went on to play on Highway Prayers and featured at Billy's Halloween shows this October.)

Promontory Paul put his thoughts on the video better than I can at 6:36 AM Pacific Time, so here they are: "Damn dawg—some people ARE just a conduit for the music, and their understanding of it is like molecular but not in an overly scientific way, and it flows so freely through them."

And if you liked that—I've linked it before and I'll link it again—turn UP the Michael Daves and Chris Thile NPR Tiny Desk Concert and our tape of the Lincoln Center show with Thile, Henry, and Strings I mentioned earlier.

Shoutout to JT Clibby for their comment on our last Smokestack by the way. Hell yeah. We love to click around here. Smokestack is all about clicking—we hope to gather you a few good pieces of Internet Content per month that we find on our endless digital hunt for non-poisonous berries to share with the tribe.

Click, click, click—we love to click around here at Smokestack!!!

Happiness is a click away.

Etc. etc. etc. have a good week <3
